For most of my adult life, I’ve been chasing balance — balance between work, motherhood, self-care, and the overwhelming pressure of what “healthy” is supposed to look like. This blog isn’t about perfection or quick fixes. It’s about learning how to nourish your body, rebuild trust with yourself, and rediscover what it feels like to be strong, energized, and supported. Whether your goal is weight loss, confidence, hormone balance, or simply feeling better in your skin — welcome. You’re not alone on this journey.
The Early Years
Growing up, I was naturally thin and never had to think about nutrition, weight management, or building healthy habits. That also meant I never developed a healthy relationship with food. I’d come home from school and eat an entire twelve-inch frozen pizza as a snack before dinner without even realizing how disconnected I was from hunger cues.

Things shifted dramatically in middle school. Kids started calling me “fat” — even though I wasn’t — and at the same time, my world shattered when my baby brother passed away from cancer. Life felt completely out of control. Between grief, bullying, and insecurity, I clung to the one thing I could control: food. That need for control spiraled into years of disordered eating, cycling between anorexia and bulimia. It became a quiet, exhausting battle I carried into adulthood.
The Diagnosis Years
At 18, I learned I had PCOS and endometriosis — two conditions that make weight loss, metabolism, and hormone balance incredibly challenging. After having my daughter in 2014, a postpartum IUD insertion led to a sudden 30-pound weight gain that left me feeling defeated and confused.
I tried every diet, every weight-loss program, every “reset” I could find, but nothing worked. By 2016, I was a single mom working 60+ hours a week while going to school full time. My mental health was unraveling. I lost weight, but not in a healthy or sustainable way — it came from stress, skipped meals, poor finances, and sheer exhaustion.
Then in 2021, after giving birth to my son, another IUD insertion caused another 30-pound gain. Even with consistent workouts, clean eating, and a healed relationship with food, my body refused to respond. After multiple appointments and three different doctors, I finally heard the diagnosis that explained everything: insulin resistance. Suddenly, my struggles with PCOS, inflammation, cravings, and weight loss made sense.
The Turning Point
My first attempt at medical support was phentermine — and it was miserable. The side effects outweighed any weight-loss benefit, and I knew it wasn’t a long-term solution for my body.
In 2023, I began my GLP-1 journey with the help of my physician and insurance. That’s when true change began. I learned how prioritizing protein before coffee stabilizes blood sugar, how simple ingredient swaps can reduce inflammation, and how sustainable weight loss is built through habits, not extremes.
From March 2023 to April 2024, I rotated between Semaglutide, Saxenda, and Tirzepatide — adjusting based on availability. The inconsistent cycles were frustrating, but even with the on-and-off access, I lost 30 pounds and maintained it between doses.
Then in April 2024, my insurance stopped covering GLP-1 medications. I felt crushed. I had finally found something that supported my metabolism, balanced my hormones, and helped heal my relationship with food — and I didn’t want to lose the progress I had fought so hard for.
The RevIVe Chapter
On June 30, 2024, I became a RevIVe Wellness client. What started as a personal weight-loss journey quickly transformed into a professional passion. I fell in love with the science behind GLP-1s, hormone balance, metabolic support, and the way personalized care can change someone’s life.
By September 2024, I joined the RevIVe team part-time — one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Through RevIVe, I’ve learned firsthand how powerful the combination of hormone optimization, vitamin therapy, strength training, and supportive nutrition can be. These tools didn’t just help me lose weight — they helped me rebuild my confidence, energy levels, and overall wellbeing.
Today, I’m down 80 pounds and have surpassed my first goal. But I’m not finished. My next goal isn’t tied to a number on the scale. It’s about building the strongest, healthiest version of myself. I’ve realized the body I want might actually weigh more than I once imagined — because it’s built with muscle, confidence, and deep self-respect.
